John Williams
John began his post-secondary studies at the University of Regina, where he enrolled in the chemistry program. He took additional math courses and developed a passion for working with numbers, eventually earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in chemistry and mathematics and a minor in physics. He continued studying science at the University of Alberta and worked as a laboratory technician at Maxaam Analytics (now called Bureau Veritas), a petroleum testing company in Edmonton.
John eventually realized he wanted a career with a more regular schedule and the opportunity to put his quantitative skills to work, so he applied for the Master’s degree program in chemistry and the bachelor’s degree program in accounting at the University of Regina. He was accepted into both programs and chose the accounting route. John graduated with his Bachelor of Business Degree several years later.
John has served as an accountant at Pro Metal Industries, a custom metal manufacturing facility, an accounting clerk at the Regina Open Door Society, a nonprofit organization that provides immigration and settlement services to newcomers to Canada, and as an accountant and customer service representative at Bronco Plumbing in Emerald Park. He has also managed a small online business called Cadworth Products and worked as an operations accounting clerk at PCL and Graham Construction.
In his spare time, John enjoys working with computers and watching news programs and documentaries.
